At the end of a detour from the Scenic Route lies Mefjordvær: A historic fishing village well placed between the open sea and high mountains in the municipality of Senja. By the breakwater, the Norwegian Public Roads Administration has built an attractive toilet building with a bus shelter in addition to a sanitary dump station for caravans and motorhomes. A walk out on the breakwater will give you a unique sense of closeness to the ocean, and specially designed furniture provides opportunities for a good rest. The upgraded car park has room for 4 passenger cars and 4 larger vehicles.
