The wetlands on the northwest side of Vestvågøy island are teeming with bird life.
The wetlands on the northwest side of Vestvågøy island are teeming with bird life. At the Skjærpvatnet, Gårdsvatnet and Storeidvatnet lakes, three 6.5-metre tall towers have been built for bird-watchers. The towers have been carefully designed and placed to avoid disturbing the birds during the nesting season.
