«Head» at Eggum in Lofoten is placed at a spot where you would not expect to find a sculpture and it is almost impossible to pass by without noticing it.
The sculpture consists of a beautiful, classic head that rests on a stone pillar, straight and firm like the horizon. The head is immobile, but it still turns upside down as we move around the sculpture. It is impossible to perceive exactly when the head goes from standing upright to suddenly being upside down. The sculpture is made by the artist Markus Raetz. The artwork is a part of Artscape Nordland.
