The toilet facilities are open all year round. Emptying toilets from motorhomes and caravans is not permitted.
Refsnesstranda is a popular destination along Scenic Route Jæren.
The southern parts of the beach mostly consist of sand dunes, while the northern parts have pebbles. A modern aluminium toilet building has been put up at the beach. From here, a wooden deck path runs down to the sand dunes. The new building has an outdoor shower, a rinse-off station and a bench to sit on.
