Wheelchair accessible.
The toilet facilities are open from early May to late October. Emptying toilets from motorhomes and caravans is not permitted.
In a small bay outside Ålvik on Hardangerfjorden, we have built a “fairytale toilet” unlike anything anyone has ever seen before.
The spectacular rest area is idyllically situated and is a great place to stop along the scenic route in Hardanger. The service building consists of two separate toilets built from pine trunks and concrete, with a big roof that appears to be floating above the landscape.
The area has been provided with seating benches and pedestrian/green zones, and from the seaside rocks you can enjoy the view of the fiord landscape and the beautiful Hardangerfjorden.
