Fossatromma at Vøringsfossen waterfall is partly closed
Fossatromma at Vøringsfossen waterfall along Norwegian Scenic Route Hardangervidda will remain partly closed to visitors throughout the summer of 2023.
During the 2023 summer season, there will be considerable construction activity at Fossatromma, the area that is now being developed west of Vøringsfossen waterfall. The work will continue until the summer of 2024.
NPRA Scenic Routes is therefore closing the car park at Fossatromma and the surrounding area. The Norwegian Public Roads Administration (NPRA) regrets the inconvenience this may cause.
Vøringsfossen will still be accessible from Fossli, east of the waterfall. From here, the viewpoints at Fossli, the step bridge, the old bridge across Bjoreio, and the new viewpoint at Fossatromma will be open to visitors.
